http://maddowblog.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2011/03/04/6191069-tonight-that-tackled-wisconsin-repWhen his constituents couldn't get in to see him at the Capitol, Wisconsin State Representative Nick Milroy dragged a desk outside and sat there in the cold. And when security mistook him for a protester and tackled him, Mr. Milroy went back later and made sure it was all good. From WisPolitics:
Milroy says he doesn't think the officer should be reprimanded because he was following orders. But the orders given those officers have put them in a tough position, to the point where getting into the Capitol has been "like trying to go through TSA," he said.
Mlroy said he later talked to the officer and said there were no hard feelings. He chalked it up to the stressful atmosphere that has pervaded the Capitol the last few weeks, and he commended law enforcement for doing an outstanding job during the protests.
Mr. Milroy says Governor Scott Walker bears the blame for ratcheting up the tensions during the long standoff over his union-busting bill. Tonight, I'm happy to say, Mr. Milroy's coming on our show. We'll see you at 9 P.M. Eastern.
