1. He's a racist
and unfortunately he's a racist that has been handed the power to do what ever the fuck he wants.

8. Wouldn't it be nice to be pandered to?
I was really hoping during the previous four years to see some substantive hearings and investigations into stuff that mattered. For some reason, the Democrats seemed far too solicitous of the tender feelings of their Republican colleagues to bring up any unpleasantness like Bush administration violations of the Hatch Act, campaign finance laws and regulations, crimes against humanity or other unseemly topics.

Republican vermin like Peter King have no such compunction, and while we decry his racist little rants, he plows right ahead, winning cheers and plaudits from the other troglodytes. Hell, Democrats won't even look into obvious high crimes and misdemeanors. I can't imagine why there is such an enthusiasm gap between Republican and Democratic voters.

12. I don't think they are afraid but they
want to keep everyone else in perpetual fear.
Fear and a Fundie Jebus are all they have or they lose that 'igrunt', racist base.

15. I disagree
A person that has true power is not afraid to share it
they do not fear the loss of power
True power comes from within
By sharing power one becomes more powerful just by the shear force of
the people that share in that power
the radical right is so afraid of not having power that
true power is out of their grasp and have to beat down others
because they are so afraid of losing the fake power that they hold

14. "Little" King (as I call him) is a slab of meat with a big mouth
and an apparent penchant for personally dissing and dismissing constituents who write letters to him.

Unfortunately, my friends out in Long Island are stuck with this jackass probably forever. Not even his making a douchebag of himself on national TV with these proposed hearings would dislodge him.
