1. They/we are. Only so much can be done now.

Signatures can't be collected until November and petition filed in January so all we can do now is maintain good databases of people who commit to sign and get the signatures in an organized manner then.

5. There's so much more that can be done...

other than just sitting around till November doing nothing.

We're trying to get signatures NOW to recall the Republican 8, and I believe have 58 days remaining in those districts now that the papers were filed.

We need volunteers for Saturday, 3/5 and Sunday, 3/6 (and I'm sure more days to come) in the 8 districts to gather recall signatures for the GOP state senators. If we can recall 3 districts, we WIN. Democrats will have the state Senate back in their control and can stop anything Walker wants to do until next January when we can remove him as well.

So while donating $ for pizza for us in Madison is nice, what we really need is $ for the recall effort and volunteers. As of posting this, the count is at 590 people donating $32,734, and the goal is 80k.

ETA: Aw shoot. I just checked the FAQ at that site and it looks like you need to be a 'sconnie to collect signatures.

Q. Do I have to live in the Senate District to help collect signatures?
A. No, but you do need to be eligible to vote in the district. (i.e. 18 and not a felon)

We do NOT want to violate that rule and leave the Republican 8 an opening for invalidating signatures. Sigh. I was hoping I could help collect signatures.

For those in WI that fit the above requirements, here's the info on where they're gathering signatures. You can sign up at the Recall The Republican 8 website.

4. That's catchy!
(To the tune of "Bad Boys", theme song for the TV show "Cops")

"Walk-er, Walk-er,
whatcha gonna do?
Whatcha gonna do
when we re-call you"

8. He will probly be rewarded by his copororate/Wall Street pals with a very lucrative job.

A huge financial reward for services rendered.

That's how it works.

9. I honestly think he's going to get recalled next year.
I haven't seen a political official's polling numbers tank so fast.

I'm sure the Republicans read the writing on the wall. That's why they're desperately trying to blackmail the WI-14 into coming back to get what fiscal legislation they are able passed. They know this is their only shot.
