Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has issued union layoff notices that could take effect as early as April 1, a governor spokesman said Friday.

The measure "may be able to be rescinded and layoffs avoided" if 14 Senate Democrats return to the state capitol.

"Without Senate action within 15 days, individual employees may begin to receive potential termination notifications," said spokesman Cullen Werwie.

1. I guess Walker plans to shoot some hostages to show he is serious.

2. Now that's what I call job creation!
Let me embrace that logic. Ouch! That hurts! Somehow, laying off people out of spite will help unemployment in there somewhere?

3. Gee Scotty are you backing down or just being a bully.

With their time off they can work on recalling some state senators.

6. Layoffs due to a temper tantrum? Due to petty spite?
Those 14 Democratic senators are using the only tool they have in defending what's right for their constituents! This petty, spiteful dictator won't compromise (take note on this glaring example of Republicans' idea of "bi-partisanship", Obama!). Every branch of Wisconsin's system of checks & balances is run by Republicans.

As anyone can see by the huge crowd of Wisconsin protesters, the Republicans don't have a mandate for a one-party dictatorship.
