Chris "I'd rather be in Orlando" Christie calls Illinois Gov. Pat Quinn "a disaster"
NEW YORK (WCBS 880) – New Jersey Governor Chris Christie continues in his harsh criticism of opponents, most recently with Illinois Governor Pat Quinn in his cross-hairs.

WCBS 880′s Marla Diamond reports Christie doesn’t appear too concerned about Illinois’ attempts to lure businesses away from the Garden State.

“Let me tell you something. We won’t lose any businesses to Illinois as long as Quinn’s the governor. He’s a disaster,” said Christie. .............(more)

1. I am from Illinois, and though
I had problems with, then, Lt. Governor Quinn's assistant (telephone threats and such, that ARE documented, btw), he has always shown himself to be an honorable man, invho. Therefore, I must respectfully tell Christie to go fuck himself.

3. I think Gov. Quinn should be commeneded. He's upped income tax
to 'handle' or get a handle on the shortfall in the IL budget. It's a bold move but better than going after a select group of people. The best part is the IL income tax is still below WI's. Eat your heart out Walker!

4. The media still attacked him day and night about it
all you saw was how Quinn wanted to raise the income tax 66%, the right even tried to use math, something they don't understand at all, to further their agenda.

7. I know! I live in the NWestern most county of IN snuggled right up to Chicago (well almost)!
Consequently, the prevalently available newscasts are largely Chicago/Illinois based and you're right. At first, I couldn't believe what I was hearing about the then proposed tax increase and wondered how anyone could afford it. After a deep breath, I got the real story. The media put out the fear big time.

5. Quinn was instrumental in the creation of the Citizens Utility Board in IL
and I worked for him briefly on another ballot project
both of these things were many moons ago but if he is even 1/2 as sincere and honest now as he was then he is a good guy.......geeeee guess that why righties like christie are out to diss him!!

6. Jayzus, like Quinn didn't have to clean up after Blago (about to go to jail)
George Ryan (Rethug in jail) etc. etc.

Quinn is a decent guy whose been handed the shittiest plate in the 50 states. His predecessors were the worst of the worst corrupt scammers and now the economic tsunami has landed on HIS plate.

Christie is a dishonest asshole who is willfully misrepresenting DECADES of IL mismanagement and laying it at the feet of Pat Quinn. Typical Rethug. I am sick of them.
