Who We Are

Who We Are Nationally, AFTRA represents more than 80,000 professional actors, news broadcasters and writers, announcers, vocalists, and others who work in the fields of television, radio, sound recordings, and industrial productions. SAG represents over 98,000 professional actors who work in film, television, industrial productions, and infomercials. The Washington-Baltimore Local of AFTRA was chartered on December 5, 1940, making us one of the first AFTRA Locals in the country. (This was before television, so it was called AFRA back then.) We have approximately 2,600 active AFTRA members. Our SAG Branch was chartered on August 1, 1978 and has 2,325 active SAG members.

7. Fox News is not a signatory to AFTRA and those guys don't
work under AFTRA contracts at Fox. It is not a Union shop.

9. then perhaps they belong to SAG (screen actors guild)
i can find no evidence of this, but with affiliates in every state and national anchors, i find it impossible to believe they are working outside the union. please prove me wrong

11. Limbaugh is only on radio anymoore
I think he works directly for Premiere Radio. Premiere has a stable of buttholes including Hannity and those professional callers.

2. I doubt that any of these ass-clowns have ever checked a tie for the union label ..
When you spend a couple of Benjamins on a designer tie from Jermyn Street in London, it probably ain't gonna have a ILGWU (or merged variant) label!

:hi:

6. They are not under AFTRA contracts at Fox News
Nor is Rush on his radio show. Rush has of course done sports work on Networks, and O'Rielly used to work on AFTRA covered programming. They are in fact Union members working in a non Union house. There are words for that, and Union Man are not among those words.

8. when you are buying a coat, dress, or blouse
why don't the unions bring back their advertising like that? I still remember that jingle decades after they stopped airing it.
