Does anyone know anything about a planned march from Milwaukee to Madison?
I was just wondering. . .I found a link from one organization on facebook to this web site talking about the plans for a walk in the LaFollette? tradition.

It still looks like it is in the planning stage, but scheduled for March 11.

I think I'd be willing to do that walk. . .think of the calories I could burn!

4. 13 hours of walking the first day doesn't sound very realistic.

i did a twenty mile one-day walk when i was younger. even as a young fit person i was very tired. i think a 40 mile hike the first day is a guaranteed buzzkill. exhausting people during a political action isn't a good idea.

if i'm reading the map right and points abcd = days.

6. You should go
This march is being organized by Riverside HS teachers, some of the folks out at the forefront of this thing. RUHS teachers, even before Walker decided to smash the unions, have played a major role in pushing the MTEA (Milw. teachers' union) to take more radical positions and actually do organizing....I'm a former RUHS teacher and really think Milwaukee folks should support this thing....you can get the contact info from the FB page or the wordpress site....students will likely be participating as well....
