"Axe 'must fall on unfair gold-plated public sector pensions'": UK Daily Mail
Edited on Sat Mar-05-11 03:46 PM by WinkyDink
"Gold-plated public sector pensions must be slashed because they are unaffordable and unfair, an independent investigation will warn next week.
A hard-hitting report, commissioned by the Government, is expected to say that the crucial link to ‘final salary’ should be axed as a matter of urgency.
Rather than pay a percentage of a state worker’s salary on retirement, it must be replaced with a cheaper alternative that places less burden on taxpayers.
The attack on state sector pensions will trigger fury among unions."

3. "Co-ordinated multi-national scheme" -- for sure, coordinated global attack on the working class,
down to the talking points.

4. 'gold-plated' , is such rubbish, even the article itself refutes this
"The average pension enjoyed by a retired state worker is £7,841 a year, although many get far more than this amount, according to the interim report."

That works out to around $1000 US dollars a month.

5. This is the Daily Mail we're taling about...
Keep in mind, during the 30s this paper was in bed with Oswald Mosley's British Union of Fascists and was rah-rahing Hitler and Mussolini almost right up to the point where the UK declared war.

6. This definitely an organized attack being coordinated all over
the world. It is amazing all this shit is breaking everywhere at the same time. That must have been what the last Bilderberg meeting was about.

10. Surprisingly, NOT a Murdoch rag. To quote from Wikipedia, however, ...
"Under Dacre, the Mail has a reputation for a conservative editorial stance on topics such as immigration, working women and teenage sex. This has led Julie Burchill to nickname it "The Daily Hate".<11> Science writer Ben Goldacre of The Guardian has described the paper as "the home of the scare story",<12> and it has been accused by Johann Hari of The Independent of causing the deaths of children, because of "faith-based thinking" in its reporting of the MMR vaccine controversy.<13> Nick Davies, writing in New Statesman, accuses the paper of routine inaccuracy in reporting issues related to immigration, quoting a former reporter as saying: "you knew that the headline had been written before the story came in and your job was to make the facts fit".<14>"

Sounds like the same methodology as Murdoch.

11. Yep. "gold-plated public sector pensions' & "Cadillac health plans"
are clear examples of using language to drive a wedge between voters who have more in common economically than they do with the CEO's who have been raking in profits, bonuses and benefits, much of it at these voters' expense.

And absolutely coordinated:

It hurts the ultra rich when the working poor makes more than a penny a day! HURTS!
