This is what I would do:
1.Bring up another web browser and try it. If it works the browser you usually use needs a fix - maybe upgrade your flash add-on.
2.If you can't view it with any of your browsers try to update your Adobe players.

used to be frequently, but lately has been rare - and it happened for me this past week.
I researched the issue, found out that the answer was to uninstall the Flash Player, restart computer and re-install Flash Player (last time it took 2 trys to fix the problem, but it did fix it).
I don't know why it happens, sometimes it just does. It's a pain but at least I found a way to correct and move forward.
I'm a Firefox user, I don't know if it's a Firefox-specific problem or not.
You can google "uninstall flash player" to download a file that will do the uninstall for you.
Good luck!

8. You could also try updating your video card drivers.. |
|
that usually fixes most video problems.

11. I know your intentions were good |
|
But this is not a video problem but a Flash/browser/YouTube problem.
Don't fuck around with drivers unless you know what your doing.

12. yes, it is. every other video except you tube works for me. i'm reluctant to do anything |
|
for fear i'll screw up the rest.
downloading the latest version of flash doesn't do anything.

And I never figured out why, but changing browsers did the trick.

13. Anytime I've had that problem -- and I've had it a few times -- |
|
Edited on Sun Mar-06-11 01:44 AM by defendandprotect
it turned out to be because I didn't have a "Google" tool bar!!
Don't ask why? If you don't have it, it could be your problem.
Recently, was also getting messages I needed to upgrade to Adobe Flash 10.2 --
but they wanted to add on McAfee security with it which I didn't want.
They all do this. I went to Adobe direct and they still had McAfee included --
and even tho I agreed to take McAfee, it finally didn't work out.
(Was going to get rid of McAfee after everything else was loaded, anyway!)
Big deal to load it -- half an hour or so of fooling
around with it -- and then one of my security systems needed to be shut down
to do it and I gave up. Two weeks later, my system popped up with an update
to Adobe Flash 10.2 -- took about 1 sec to do it and no required shut down of
the computer!!
Right now I'm getting msgs that my browser is in "critical" state re its batteries!!
I've changed batteries now twice -- msg keeps coming up and this time I'm ignoring it.
Browser is working fine --
I hate computers!!
:) good luck!!

17. You're a better man than I am Gunga Din .... |
|
I found it a great annoyance -- actually the Google toolbar is no big deal for me --
they have some stuff I like such as filling in those forms for various campaigns --
"auto fill" --
But I use YouTube a lot and wouldn't want to be unable to watch it on their site!!
What are you doing up so late?
