Let them know that LOTS of folks in the rest of the country are paying attention and appreciate what they're doing.

5. I think the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel is the largest paper in the state.
I did some quick googling and saw one site saying a full-page ad there is $15,000 but I don't know how accurate that is.

7. Again, I'm not sure that's accurate. You'd probably have to email the paper to check.
But a full page ad in a paper with a large circulation is always going to be expensive. The Sunday Journal Sentinel probably has the widest circulation in the state.

8. Yeah, I'll email them on Monday.
Then if it seems like a feasible amount, I'll repost the idea. Thanks for the info.

9. Just found more info. $337 a column inch.

No idea exactly how many column inches to a full page.

10. This link explains column inches. Over 120 per page, in their example.
http://graphicdesign.spokanefalls.edu/tutorials/tech/column_inches/col_inches.htm

So a $15,000 price for a full page ad would be much less than buying the same space at normal column inch rates.

The other Milwaukee papers listed at the other link I gave you are much cheaper since the circulation is much smaller.

13. i wonder if that kind of money wouldn't better be spent supporting the recall effort
or the protesters directly.

$15K is a lot of money for a gesture where the cash goes to the newspaper, not the protest.

14. Good point. On the other hand, maybe if we told them we were republicans, the
price would drop to a buck and a half.
