We cared for your dad... who had put off going to the doctor because he had no insurance,and now have a raging infection and nearly died... your "Right-to-work" son,who puts in 70-hours a week and is still classified as part-time... who may lose his great job because he missed a day...your twenty year-old pregnant daughter who douched with cleaning fluid trying to terminate her pregnancy... because she was afraid to ask you for help,afraid of what you would say..These and the countless others you'd like to dispose of like yesterday's trash.

We cared for your kid at school...the shy one who was afraid to tell the teacher he didn't have a pencil again...didn't have lunch money again... and who scored great on his tas test thanks to one dedicated teacher...namely my liberal Democratic 3-war veteran partner and the countless other teachers you want to crucify in the name of "Patriotism" and "Laissez-faire capitalism"

Tomorrow,you'll go to church,making sure you are seen...being the "Good Xtians" that you are.

13. I was once asked to do a worship service at a retirement community when...

their regular volunteer minister had out of town obligations. I was asked to make it "non-denominational." So I did a sermon on the Book of Jonah, a fabulously witty book in the Bible. As far as I know, the earliest example of satirical writing in the near East. One of the underlying messages is "love they neighbor" and the author definitely opposed demonizing people because they belonged to other tribes/cultures.

I was called later that week and told the residents would prefer I not return. Apparently, non-denominational meant some sort of odd strain of Baptist steeped with Calvinist theology and racist underpinnings. The director of the community was very apologetic and said she thought I'd done the best service she'd seen in eons there, but universal love was not what they wanted to hear.

This was during the presidential election cycle. I should have been fore-warned when one of the ladies waltzed in moaning about that Muslim just nominated by the Democratic party.

In other words, don't get your hopes up.

However, I typed the name wrong and it wasn't corrected in the response (Del Grasso vs Del Wasso)

There was a different pattern with the punctuation/spaces normally seen in most of the OP's that readers are often asked to correct for grammar, punctuation, etc. (edited to add) The punctuation/space pattern is also frequently seen in posts where no corrections are requested.
