2. You're telling me! You know that the government blocked searches for John Huntsman now?
As well, I've noticed state media this week now referring to Ghaddafi's as "the Libyan forces." Last week it was "ruling regime" or something like that. If you go to Radio Free Asia there's lots of good stuff.

3. They've essentially blocked out any reference to the Middle East inside China.
They know that there is currently rioting in the Middle East against the dictatorships there, and they don't want the Chinese people getting it in their heads that they can do the same thing. The ruling party learned from this past experience:

One day, the dictatorship in China will pay for all the wrong it has done. One day...

7. I know a Chinese guy who was very afraid of demonstrations on parliament hill in Ottawa.
He is just a kid and obviously has bought into Chinese propaganda. Apparently they are brought up to believe that if they have freedom it will mean complete and utter anarchy. The fact that anyone would dare to demonstrate in China these days has me in awe.

8. In America the middle class people take the hit and fight inflation. Because inflation is bad
for business. And God knows corporations like it when middle America takes the hit to help them do business.

What are the corporations sacrificing in return? NOTHING!

10. Eventually they will break the currency peg...

and export the inflation right back to the USA. We won't gain jobs, we'll simply slide into hyperinflation.

They are experiencing higher inflation right now due to pegging of the yuan to the dollar. They have to match our monetary growth percentages in order to maintain that peg. When they get sick of it, they'll break the peg and let the yuan appreciate. The jobs will then start to leave China, but they'll head to some other low wage country, not the USA.

11. Well, the government is purposely intending to suppress it.
However, I would say it would make Chinese goods more expensive before it would start bringing jobs back to the USA.
