I’m a lot closer to 70 than 60. A lot closer.
I’ve reached the point where I find it hard to feel sorry for people. Florida has 12% unemployment, no income tax, or estate tax and millionaires out the wazoo, while millions make $10 an hour with no benefits, health insurance, pensions or hope. And we elected a Republican billionaire Governor who thinks we need "smaller government, less spending, lower taxes" and whose first act was to turn down billions in federal money to build a high speed rail system, In the face of 12% unemployment.
I can’t feel sorry anymore.
Same goes for Wisconsin. Same for Ohio. How many middle class union cops and firemen voted Republican? How many living from paycheck to paycheck voted for the GOP because of its "values"? How many, worried about jobs or sending a kid to college voted Republican because you fear the coming of Sharia law and the Caliphate? How many voted for the GOP because you can't stomach a black President and you want him to fail? And how many of you didn't bother to vote?
