I would like to see a group put the Wisconsin 14 on tour |
|
While they are waiting out the Republicans in WI wouldn't it be nice if a group could be pulled together to put these 14 patriots on tour across the country. I think it would be a real shot in the arm to motivate people to stand up for their rights against the onslaught of Republican fascism that is currently engaged in an all out assault on the America people. And since President Obama can't seem to find his shoes we need some real motivational speakers to keep the energy going.
They could also hold seminars for Democrats at the various state statehouse's with such subject matter as, "How a Democrat Can Develop a Spine, 10 Easy Steps to Growing Some Naads," or "Capitulation is not a Democratic Value, You Too Can Stand up for Your Values". With their tour culminating in Washington D.C. with a weeks worth of Seminars for the House and Senate Democrats.
As long as they stay out of Wisconsin I don't see a problem.

1. It's not a circus troupe. |
|
They have bills to write, constituents to meet with, and meetings to attend.

5. They are submitting a lot of bills right now through their staff |
|
and doing a lot of communicating with republicans, press, and constituents, for your information.

8. Actually, yes, they are working right now. |
|
On amendments and substitutions to Governor Hosni Walker's "budget repair" bill. They seem to have daily contact with their staffs and other Wisconsin stakeholders, including some legal experts.

3. It sounds like a great idea, but |
|
they've been trying to keep pretty low key, so they can get work done. Imagine the protesters they'd have to put up with if they started popping up all the time.

4. Bad idea, for two reasons |
|
1. It'll be spun as a partisan campaign.
2. States with Republican governors may be willing to "extradite" them.

6. Oh yeah, Republicans might talk bad about us |
|
And as Democrats we certainly can't allow that to happen.
I rest my case.
