After all is said and done... |
|
...more will be said than done.
The rich and powerful do not surrender their power voluntarily. They have their shiny loafers on the throats of middle America. How much longer can we continue to breathe?
Many voters feel deceived by the leaders in our Party. They ran as "change", as "community organizers", as "marching on the side of labor", yet, we have seen nothing but gifts and handouts for the rich. The truth hurts.

It's seductive to hear the things you want said. It's especially seductive to hear them said by a capable and accomplished speaker. And the people most capable of sweet-talking us are people we don't know very well.
But generally, the predictor of human behavior turns out to be what the human has been doing.
If Wisconsin voters had ignored what Walker said and looked at what Walker had done. They'd have understood why those of us in Milwaukee County were screaming 'Don't Vote For Walker!"
If US voters had ignored what Obama and the other Dems were saying, and looked at what they'd been doing, we would have better known what was coming--support for financial institutions (including insurance co.s) and privatizing schools. And the truth is that even so, we would have voted for Obama, perhaps holding our noses but absolutely not wanting the alternative.
