more on our empire killing children in Afghanistan

http://www.buzzflash.net/story.php?id=1326431

Incalculable

She and I huddled next to each other inside a hut made of mud on a chilly December morning. Juma Gul's father stooped in front of us and gently unzipped her jacket, showing me that his daughter's arm had been amputated by shrapnel when the US missile hit their home in San Gin. Next to Juma Gul was her brother, whose leg had been mangled in the attack. He apparently has no access to adequate medical care and experiences constant pain. The pilot of the attacking drone, perhaps controlling it from as far away as Creech Air Force Base here in the United States, knows nothing of this family or of the pain that he or she helped inflict. Nor do the commanders, the people who set up the base, the people who pay for it with their taxes and the people who persist in electing candidates intent on indefinitely prolonging the war.

the DU our empire spread all over Iraq is still killing children and the new born and will for decades to come

4. Thank you. We rarely even learn their names. We just slaughter
them and leave their loved ones to literally pick up the pieces. John Pilger wrote about what it is like to be there after one of our drones destroys a village. No decent human being could possibly approve of this.

At least these two children have been named. That puts them slightly above the hundreds of other deliberately unnamed children America has killed.

Yesterday I saw on Russian TV/English footage of the people of Afghanistan protesting in the streets against the slaughter of their citizens. They were carrying signs, just as protesters here do.

Americans will never see that kind of news. But now the world is seeing it as more and more news organizations are reporting, unrestricted by U.S. government, on our wars, as our media should have.

What can be done to stop this carnage? I thought electing Democrats would stop it, instead the drone attacks have only increased. So, what now?

5. No one bothers to count the bodies
No one bothers to count the maimed
No one counts the terrorists
The only thing that count are the victories
That does not take long to count
For the number is easy to remember
ZERO

6. The photos of these dead and maimed children...

...should be pasted on the gates, fences, and billboards surrounding Creech Air Force Base (and any other bases that control RPVs).
They should also be posted on the bulletin boards of the Grocery Stores and Laundromats in the towns surrounding these bases
so that wives (or husbands) and family members can see what their husbands (or wives) do at work.

The whole concept of using remotely piloted aircraft to do our killing Creeps Me Out.

7. I absolutely agree with you.
Americans do not see the results of what they support, both finacially and politically.

I would also like to see the photos of the two children whose dad was murdered in the U.S. Helicopter attack on the two journalists and several other civilians released by Wikileaks and supposedly given to them by Bradley Manning.

Those two frightened children are maimed for life, both physically and emotionally. Not one American journalist that I am aware of made any attempt to find them after the release of that video.

It was a British journalist, who cried when he spoke about it, and Wikileaks who sought them out to see how they were doing.

Outside Quantico where Bradley Manning is being held and abused, photos of that war crime which he is charged with revealing, should be posted. Just for perspective.

Drones are a sick, sadistic and cowardly inhumane weapon and should long ago have been banned by the International Community. But there is so much money to be made and money rules!

8. We have very few "journalists" anymore. We have newsreaders with good hair.
Americans were oblivious to Vietnam until we started seeing images of dead and wounded civilians.

9. America, fuck yeah!
Couple more child terrorists who won't be crashing jets into buildings or bombing public squares! And the survivors will most assuredly love, Love, LOVE the United States for taking this pre-emptive action. U!S!A! U!S!A!

America, America, God shed his grace on thee.
