Paper Reports Senators Will Return

MADISON, Wis. -- Reports in the Wall Street Journal that state Democratic senators are ready to return to Wisconsin are out of context, according to state Sen. Jon Erpenbach.

Erpenbach, who is one of 14 state senators currently staying in Illinois, is one of the leading voices of the absent lawmakers who fled the state to block the passage of Gov. Scott Walker's controversial budget repair bill.

In an article titled "Democrats to End Union Standoff," the newspaper credits state Sen. Mark Miller with saying Democrats are looking to return to the Capitol to vote on budget repair bill. However, the article does acknowledge that Miller didn't give an anticipated return date

Rrpenbach said there is no plan to head back to Madison right now.
