Campaign of Fear starts this week. Do you remember that |
|
darn commercial meant to stir fear among the easily frightend.
Anyway it is a dramatic black and white commercial, dark lighting which depicts a Chinese Professor with a class of Chinese students. Critizing Health Care in light of the DEFICIT. Punch Line the Americans now work for us and students burst into laughter.
According to Fox, several conservative groups are going to be running this commerciial in an effort to scare us into accepting deep cuts in the Budget? Luntz: How can Americans not accept deep cuts when they see this commercial.
My reaction to the Commercial from the first time I saw it months ago, I resented the Chinese saying one word about how we run our country. In the real world China tells us to mind our own business when we point to anything about their country. My reaction is Mind your own business China. (The Commerciial was developed in this country by Conservatives)
It creates more ill will toward China than frightens people into submitting to Republican Cuts in the Budget.

1. Sounds more like they are shooting themselves in the foot with obvious racial references. |

The GOP has been an outstanding job of that here lately, let's hope they continue.

2. My reaction is similar to yours |

I only read your description. But I don't think it matters. I thought to myself that those students will be in for a shock when they're called slobs and parasites.
And it made me glad that yesterday I bought some towels and a bath mat manufactured in Pakistan. Not that this is something to be cheerful about. But it was at least one damned thing at Big Lots that wasn't made in China.
