83 Year Old Greeter charged with armed robbery of own Walmart
STATESVILLE, N.C. — Police have charged an 83-year-old greeter at a North Carolina Walmart with trying to rob the store over the weekend.

Police say George Plane Jr. of Mooresville was working Sunday night when he went to his car, donned a disguise and walked back inside the Statesville store with a gun.

Statesville Police Chief Tom Anderson says Plane put the gun to a fellow employee's head and demanded money from a cash register. Anderson says Plane fired a shot in the air after leaving with the money. Plane was arrested later Sunday.

1. If he hadn't put that gun to the guy's head,
I would be saying it's nice to see seniors getting out and about.

2. Hmm, maybe the Groucho glasses were not enough of a disguise.
Could it be that those who work together recognize each other even if disguises are worn?

Beyond that, all I can say is: LOL.

4. a sad story
but at least nobody got hurt.

Now, instead of helping this old guy, the state will spend thousands to prosecute him and probably imprison him.

7. You got it exactly right. Jesse Jackson used to talk about paying on the front end, or paying more
on the back end.

Good case in point.

:(

5. Willie Sutton robbed banks because "That's where the money is."
If Willie were still working today, Walmart would surely be added as a money source.
