Let me get something straight, MSNBC, CNN, et al...
Edited on Mon Mar-07-11 02:48 PM by Thunderstruck
I don't give a flying fuck about the British royal family or their stupid weddings. And we already have TV shows that have Charlie Sheen covered. When people want to know wtf Charlie Sheen is doing, they don't immediate think CNN or MSNBC! They think ET and TMZ!

Show me something I can use assholes.

1. OK, look.
American MSM is never going to give you decent news or fair commentary.
So it's time to get over that magical hope that they every will.

Boycott boycott boycott.

Get your news from sources you can trust.

2. Please LEAVE OZ! It's obvious that you are a trouble maker.
And we don't want any trouble in the Very Merry Old Land of OZ.

It's obvious that you've seen behind the veil. Wash your face with cold water, do NOT resort to a recreational drug, and never be satisfied with what someone else says is NEWS.

3. I work at a hotel and this morning I snapped on the lobby TV at 6am
as customary. MSNBC popped up with "and now the brilliant Saturday Night Live skit on Charlie Sheen." Four guys eating breakfast audibly groaned! One said "switch the station."

4. our media does as little news as possible. it's expensive.
charlie sheen provides cheap, glitzy entertainment that they pass on as news.

5. Anyone who turns on the television in this country and expects to get news
is going to be sadly disappointed or sadly misinformed. It is a choice, one can refuse to be subject to their propaganda or subject to it.

I choose to turn off the M$M propaganda that pollutes our airwaves.

I know some not-so-dumb people who get all their news from TV, whenever I see them they know all about these famous kids and what they're wearing :eyes: and these people are like 60. so boring.

Anyway these are educated very successful people. So what about the rest of the millions who watch that crap and take it for news?

8. Wait, what are you looking for? News? Well, you're looking in the wrong places.
Too bad most of us can't get Al Jazeera English -- or straight BBC, though BBC America has a few moments. Or for that matter, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

cable providers. Unfortunately my cable company, Charter Cable, is so far not party to those discussions, as far as I know. Maybe if AJE comes to those other providers, Charter will follow suit.

11. But we CAN get Al Jazeera English...
online, via several sites.
Same with other alternative news.
Which is the ONLY thing that made me hook my external speakers back up on the 'puter.

Warning: GOOD real news will make you turn off the tv forever.

10. oh are they still blathering about that. i quit watching. i know about charlie sheen, but
that is because it has been everywhere no matter where i went. but i know what you mean. I could care less about a royal wedding where they will spend more money that most will see in a year or even a lifetime. wasteful spending if you ask me, but must keep up appearances. i guess.

15. American TV is cartoonish, a fast moving sales pitch
Even Hillary stated last week that other media sources are doing much better. Now that their credibility is gone American TV can never get it back, unless they fire all the frauds that perpetually recite propaganda and replace them with actual journalists.

18. A conversation about Sheen has a place in the news,
but it ain't the conversation they've been having. None of the American media would have the guts to have that conversation.

That conversation being "How we let guys get away with doing just about anything to women as long as we can justify it or shift blame to the woman.".

20. Those channels are corporate propaganda
When they aren't intentionally lying to you, they are covering crap like weddings to obscure the truth. There is no point in watching those channels.
