Poll question: Poll: Did you think DADT would be repealed by Congress and signed by a President in your lifetime?

I personally was beginning to wonder. I had underestimated the amount of resistance to it.

2. No.
But I didn't think Social Security would be threatened by the Democrats.

I didn't think indefinite detention would be accepted by Americans.

I could go on...

A few good things have happened in the last few days, but not near enough to make up for the rest of it.

4. Yes
I actually thought it would be easier than it turned out to be.

5. Honestly, no. I thought it would be done by the courts
and I was partially right. If a lower court hadn't ruled on it already, terming it unconstitutional, Congress wouldn't have seen the clear writing on the wall and repealed it.

As an aside, you can bet it will be THE issue they use in 2012 to manipulate the fundies into voting and being used by the wealthy, again.

6. You needed a "FUCK NO!" option in that poll.
As long as the GOP had the ability to hold up anything just by hinting at the word "filibuster", I never expected it to make it through the damn Senate!
