Newt blames "the team" for botched announcement.
Former U.S. House Speaker Newt Gingrich acknowledged in a Des Moines Register interview Monday that his team bobbled the news last week before the announcement Thursday that he planned to begin raising money to explore seeking the 2012 GOP presidential nod.

Top Gingrich adviser Joe Gaylord told The Register Tuesday that Gingrich planned to announce during a Georgia appearance two days later that he would form an exploratory committee. Later Tuesday, Gingrich’s spokesman and press secretary Rick Tyler issued a press release stating the announcement would not be an exploratory committee.

Formation of an exploratory committee triggers detailed filings with the Federal Election Commission. Candidates also can form organizations to “test the waters” in a less formal exploration phase, as Gingrich has done. Such organizations can still raise money, conduct polling and hire staff.

13. If Newtered and/or his "team" couldn't deliver a simple media event,
How in Hell would a supposed Prez Newtered and his hand-picked "team" handle something like a 9-11, an economic collapse.
We already know he has vast experience in infidelity...that is about it.

7. Thinking about running for office is Newt's job. It is how he makes a living.
Newt just wants to keep his face on the news to try and sell his boring books and lectures. Otherwise he has no source of income.

10. K&R #1 for bwah-ha-HAH !1 This smells of a campaign-that-never-was!1
When Rick LAZIO fell on his face in a campaign parade, I felt it in my bones he was LOST, that his campaign was over. Neuter gives off the same vibes here.
