My e-mail to Mistah KURTZ'slamming Tweety for mocking GINGRINCH as looking like "a car bomber"

The strangeness of the times is signed by my semi-defending of Tweety. A couple of my main obsessions here have been: 1) Blasting Tweety for his acting as a Rethug operative since the FAKE impeachment and throughout Campaign 2000, Coup 2000, and the Shrub Regime, and 2) Not forgiving him when he turned anti-Shrub/CHEENEE. He has always traded on being a "Liberal" voice while he has thoroughly trashed Liberals all those years.

But KURTZ was clearly trying to look "fair and balanced" since he had earlier in the March 6 show done a segment on BecKKK.


The e-mail:

KURTZ’s slamming Chris MATTHEWS’s “GINGRICH looks like a car bomber” is more of the wimpish “false equivalency” and false neutrality at work. For ONE of a MATTHEWS non-literal joke like this there are FIFTY PER DAY outrageous and literally meant things that Rightwingers like LIMBAUGH, HANNITY, BECK, et al., get away with.

Here's something I really didn't like.

Now, Chris Matthews is a colorful guy, and sometimes we laugh when his tongue gets him into trouble. But look what he said this week about the former House Speaker who is exploring a run for president, Newt Gingrich.

Clarence, he looks like a car bomber. He has got that Mephistophelean grin of his. He looks like he loves torturing -- look at the guy. I mean, this is not the face of a president.

KURTZ: Car bomber? Loves torturing? I'm sorry, that's just unacceptable.

Go after Newt's record if you don't like him. Talk about his three wives. But, Chris, don't accuse him of looking like a terrorist.
