Catholics for Choice: Jacksonville mayoral candidate using ‘rhetoric of violence’
http://floridaindependent.com/23379/catholics-for-choice-jacksonville-mayoral-candidate-using-rhetoric-of-violence

Jacksonville mayoral candidate Mike Hogan recently came under fire for jokingly saying “it may cross {his} mind” to bomb an abortion clinic, but the statement has done little to stifle high-profile endorsements from area police and fire unions and tea party groups. But not everyone is taking the comments in stride. #

Catholics for Choice, a pro-choice organization based in Washington, D.C., criticized Hogan’s “rhetoric of violence” in a recent interview with The Florida Independent. #

Though Hogan released a statement after media coverage of the remarks intensified, many felt the apology seemed half-hearted. Hogan, who until recently acted as Duval County tax collector, defended his statements in interviews, saying he felt the comments had been blown out of proportion. According to Hogan, he was simply pandering to his audience. #

“If I’ve got to measure everything I say, I mean, I’m not going to be politically correct,” said Hogan, in an interview with The Florida Times-Union. “That was a joke. This was an audience for this. This is a Catholic Church. I guarantee you they are 110 percent pro-life.” #

1. If they're so pro-life, as Hogan says
Then why is destruction and possibly killing people so funny?
How is that a joke?

3. Catholic women are pro-choice ... have just as many abortions as any other women....
And the pro-life thugs/murderers are the joke!

A sad joke on all of us that they've been able to bully and dominate the

conversation on reproductive freedom for so long!!

I'd say, it's only been due to a corporate-press and it's elite agenda --

i.e., less birth control, more children for LABOR and exploitation by corporations --!!

2. BS: "This is a Catholic Church. I guarantee you they are 110 percent pro-life"
Catholic women have just as many abortions as any other women --

and that is true wherever you find Catholic women -- it's true internationally

where they can find abortion services -- Women in Ireland go to the UK --

Catholics wanted government run health care/MEDICARE FOR ALL at rate of 73% -- and 83%

when you include Hispanic Catholics!

And they wanted a full range of reproductive services, including abortion by 50% --

and Hispanics brought that perceptage up to 53% -- that is, abortion as simply CHOICE!

They wanted a full range of services included -- from HIV/AIDS testing to CONTRACEPTION --

including condoms to prevent HIV/AIDS.

They wanted every kind of ABORTION COVERED -- from pregnancies which "threatened the

life of the woman" to pregnancies which resulted from rape/incest. From pregnancies

which "posed long term health risks for women" to pregnancies where the fetus had

severe abnormal condition."

What the Catholic Church is doing is trying to prevent government from guaranteeing women

reproductive freedom -- these women and their families are ignoring the church's bans on

birth control and abortion and deciding for themselves to use their own personal conscience

and free thought to make their decisions freely.

And, btw, that's exactly what beloved Pope John XXIII told them to do in Vatican II!!
