Legislation would help speeders catch themselves
Legislation would help speeders catch themselves

From an editorial published in the Fayetteville Observer on March 4:

State Rep. Rick Glazier of Fayetteville has introduced a bill, HB 145, to interfere with the national pastime.

No, not baseball. Speeding.

Glazier's bill would use cameras and sensors ("electronic speed-measuring systems," in the jargon) to catch speeders in the act, cite them and make them pay - almost before they knew what hit them.

1. We should be able to
balance the budget with that. Everytime we go over the speed limit 50 bucks gets deducted from our checking accounts. I should be able to pay off a good chunk of our debt all by myself.

4. That goes without saying.
Maybe we can determine a score below which they automatically go to prison (privately run of course) until their score improves.

5. Let's just make being alive a misdemeanor.
Then everyone gets t go to jail for whatever violation they have or will commit.

Think you can get out of it by simply dying? That's a felony.
