Exploding Toilets????
I spoke with a friend in Colorado last night. As usual, we got into our what's wrong with everything and got on the subject of fracking.

He told me a guy there threw a cigarette butt in the toilet and blew the fucking house up killing him.

Anyone heard about that?

2. No. Hasn't been reported in any of the major mechanical engineering or plumbing trade journals.
There was a case where a man claimed that his drunk/drugged wife drowned in a toilet but the court determined that she was dead before he stuffed her head in the bowl.

Here's Snopes on the subject of exploding toilets:

What he's describing is simply not possible.

8. In some places in Colorado, people can set the water coming from faucets alight
That was covered extensively on local news for a while, although the reporters' interest in this seems to have faded away.

Never heard about the toilet blowing up, though.
