A man with Obama's credentials cannot and should not be excused for his decision to support military trials at GITMO or the recent claim that the government may hold someone indefinitely.

At least Bush had the excuse he was a fucking moron, something we all could easily believe.

What the fuck is Obama's excuse?

1. Obama did a better job on the campaign trail of pretending he wasn't as Republican as other recent..
Dems, and Dem presidents, have been.

But I guess we're seeing the "real him" now. Alas.

3. And with him, he supposedly knows why this is wrong.
He's an extremely gifted lawyer, he was a fucking constitutional law professor, and this is what he makes as a decision?

7. I believe during the election,
people here who tried to point out that he wasn't as left as he'd have you believe were severely attacked around here...

That would have been great. We desperately needed a LIBERAL/PROGRESSIVE President.

17. Lets review the video:
Restore Honor and Human Rights:
http://www.thedailyshow.com/watch/tue-june-15-2010/respect-my-authoritah

and then there was:

*Unilaterally renegotiate NAFTA

*Pass EFCA (Employee Free Choice Act)
“If a majority of workers want a union, they should get a union. It’s that simple. We need to stand up to the business lobby and pass the Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA). That’s why I’ve been fighting for it in the Senate and that’s why I’ll make it the law of the land when I’m president of the United States.”---Obama, Lorain, Ohio, 2007

*Insisted on a Public Option

*Ridiculed "The Mandate"

*Opposed Taxing Unions for benefits (Cadillac Tax)

*Insisted the the Bush Tax Cuts for Millionaires would be ended immediately

and much, much more.

No.
Campaign Obama sounded fairly acceptable on issues that affected Working Americans.
He was no Kucinich (my choice), but the meme that "Obama is just doing what he promised" is bogus.
There is plenty of legitimate evidence to feel betrayed.

"There are forces within the Democratic Party who want us to sound like kinder, gentler Republicans.
I want us to compete for that great mass of voters that want a party that will stand up for working Americans."
---Paul Wellstone

4. He is willing to sell us out.
His negotiating style is similar to the following:
A man comes up on the street with a gun, and points it to my head.
You can either:
A. Try to tell the man not to shoot you
B. Tell the man to shoot you in the head at a different angle

He always seems to choose B. not A.

He doesn't seem to understand that there are things you simply don't negotiate away, and you don't open negotiations by letting your opponents know what you're willing to compromise on.

FACTS:

The same industries that funded Mccain's campaign funded Obama's. McCain and Obama both work for the same people.

10. You're right.
No one has to take us for our word, it's all a matter of public record:
http://fec.gov/finance/disclosure/advindsea.shtml

Put in the name of any big company, and you'll probably see that their executives donated to Obama.

Just because he didn't take PAC money, that doesn't mean rich people didn't donate to him. In fact, it's actually worse not to take it than to take it, because it's harder to find out which companies held a fund raiser for Obama than it is to find out who did for McCain.

This, I believe, is his Senate campaign from 2004, don't let the name fool you, they rename shit after the elections:
http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-bin/com_rcvd/C00411934/

Look at all the PAC money he took to get into the Senate. And in 2008 all that happened is that it went and became almost money laundering.

Now, that PAC money is only the tip of the iceberg, you will note that it's actually not that much money on its own. What really bumps up their fund raising totals is the donations that come from the executives of those companies.

Since Obama's got the Republican nomination pretty much sewn up the only question remains is who's going to be the 2012 Dem candidate.

21. I would have never voted for Bomb Bomb Iran
Before Bush left he said we would get a Republican. I don't think Obama is a Republican, but I don't think he's my kind of Democrat either. I am a Democrat, but I don't think my party is anymore. They've changed so much.
