Funny at times how things work
last Saturday I went with hubby for him to get some school work done at a local marsh. It was an extra credit thingy. So I did not go in there, between bad knees and a recent hip injury did not feel like risking it. But we took his GOOD camera. So they asked if I could take some photos of grases et al. So here I am e-mailing them a few photos (close to 30) so they can use them for their website. It is a way for them to do some conservation too. It takes a little time to do it through the AOL system but at least I can help in the preservation of a species in danger of extinction, the Clapper Rail... and all it took was a camera, and good light.

At times getting involved takes an hour or so. This is actually the easiest "activism" ever.

So sending them photos of grases and invasive plants. One of those grasses looked to my very untrained eye like an early form of either rice or... maize... who knows? It was a fun, if hot day. And if it helps them... I am happy.
