How to become part of the "radical left-wing conspiracy" (Sign up now!)
Step 1: Hassle or stand up to a republican politician or TV-host.
Step 2: Congratulations. You are now an official member of the "radical left-wing conspiracy" (RaLfWiCon). If you are a celebrity or a media-outlet, your membership status will be announced by FOX News.

Seriously, the political discourse in this country is badly poisoned. When politicians have to resort to name-calling and made-up accusations towards their political opponents to stay afloat, that's just sad. The US is the only democratic country in the world where one major party consistently cries and screams that the other major party is riddled with traitors, hell-bent on destroying the country. (The only other example that comes to my mind right now is Venezuela.)

Then there's the other problem of political definition: Anything short of a champion of unregulated capitalism is a communist, trying to destroy the country. Anyone short of a radical christian is a godless heathen, trying to destroy the country. Every liberal is a communist, trying to destroy the country. "Liberal" has been turned into a dirty word. Fine.

Remember those good old days when geeks and nerds were spat-upon and shunned from society? (Metaphorically speaking.) Then they started wearing the labels "geek" and "nerd" with pride, and it was an insult no more. "Liberal" is a dirty word as long as its enemies define it and nobody dares to be one.

What if people started wearing t-shirts with "liberal" written on it?
Do you really think, all the misconceptions and prejudices could stand up to the harsh reality that it's the good guys who actively refer to themselves as liberals? That liberals stand up for the middle-class? That liberals stand up for consumer protection and the environment? That liberals try to protect the civil rights?

Join RaLfWiCon today.
And please buy my "liberal" t-shirts or I can no longer afford booze, drugs and hookers. :D
