Hey MSM! People other than the T-Baggers are Angry
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFflNLSKorw

Do you remember back during the health care debate when a couple of geriatric T-baggers made "asshats" of themselves at Town Hall hosted by Democratic Congressman and Senators?

Remember how this astroturf campaign bankrolled by the Kock Dealers and promoted ad nauseum by Faux News resulted in near 24/7 coverage, that was interpreted and promoted by the media as some kind of "citizen uprising", so important that every "liberal" news show had to lead with footage of "red-faced, denture-flapping, spittle-spraying" rants from the "Cheetoes stained penis" crowd?

Remember that? Yes, I'm sure you do.

I'm sure that you will provide just as much coverage and favorable "interpretation" of this "new" crowd of angry Americans. It seems it would be even more significant, since it's not being bankrolled by a handful of Republican-Wingnut astroturfers, money-men, and lobbyist. Why, this should be even more "news-worthy", because it appears to be a spontaneous reaction to actually policy and plans, not some far-fetched claim of "Muslim-born, socialistic, communistic" race-baiting idocy directed at a black President.

Surely this is at least as, IF NOT MORE, newsworthy than repeatedly debunked claims of "not one of us-ness".

You even have a Republican Rep by the name of Leah Vukmir, claiming on a show on Faux that she was forced to "run for the safety of her vehicle".

Remember how you played up that angle? You know the one where you repeatedly protrayed and described Democratic politicians as "scurrying" away in fear from the "mobs"?

Funny, this story and this example of Republicans "cowering in fear" of their fellow American Citizens seems like one you would cover with the same vigor that you displayed during previous town halls, and yet, I can't find a single prominent news outlet providing the same "shock and awe" coverage that was SO readily available during the Health Care Town Halls.

Well, I guess it would be funny, were it not so tragic!

You hit it right on the head....

The media played up the TPers like they were a majority of the country or represented the majority view...people were pissed that Obama didn't deliver the change they wanted and needed not that he was "a socialist, a kenyan or the anti-christ." they wanted jobs, they wanted social security and medicare protected and they wanted an end to the deadlock in DC....they voted in anger against Obama and inadvertently put in a bunch of ideologues who have no sense of reality.

finally...

the intelligent people got pissed off enough to do something

3. 20 Tea Party members got more press than 350 Rick Scott protestors
in my area yesterday. The picture in the paper that accompanied the article about the rally? Showed one guy holding a sign supporting our dickhead of a governor. Not a glimpse of the 300+ people waving signs on the other side of the street. They also made the claim there were 50 Tea Party folks out there. I'm being really generous when I say there were maybe 30.

I also noticed the paper didn't mention the sprinklers coming on and thoroughly soaking the Tea Party sending them scurrying to their cars and abandoning their cause. Though to be fair I think a handful of them moved to a corner down the street.

6. It is just disgusting, isn't it?
True progressive voices like Keith O get shutdown, and an organization that is investing millions of dollars to do "actual" investigative journalism, gets "punked" by a perverted purveyor of "conservanography". Never mind the truthiness of the fact that the T-baggers are indeed an organization just a couple of sheets short of a Klan Ralley, people affiliated with NPR must never actually tell the truth.

It's almost like the MSM is pushing us toward a revolution.

12. It is NOT just the MSM, but as long as we keep frosty
they really have no idea how to control this. The moment it goes "hot" they will bring the full power of the state to crush it.

But I have concluded that the RIGHT wants a revolution with lead and ammo boxes and all that shit, since that THEY CAN CONTROL.

5. And they aren't just showing up for a few hours with their lawn chairs and guns to protest
That's what teabaggers do. They show up for a few hours, have a hissy fit and then leave. How many days have progressives been camping out at the capital in Madison Wisconsin? We're into WEEKS now and yet they get way less coverage then a few angry teabaggers protesting for 2 hours.

:grr:

7. And that anger is over real things
Not "Keep government out of Medicare" or some other such nonsensical codswallop.

Yeah, I remember how much fun the popular media had, twitting Democrats for passing comprehensive health care reform, and showing the angry pawns walking around with their threatening signs and guns (which were absolutely not threatening at all, merely an excercise of their divinely-ordained constipitutional right) and shutting down public meetings with their yammering rage. Now? Oh, it's oh-so-much different, and we're a bunch of thugs.

Liberal media, my sweet Aunt Fanny.

13. Yeah that drives me batty too
Since demographic trends are working against teabaggers ( and even the GOP ) they're going to be smaller and smaller in number. How much longer can the MSM cover up that fact? Or, Who will they cover?
