It's the uncertainty, Stupid! |
|
Conventional wisdom says that business is too frightened to hire. They don't have a guarantee of profits. As soon as there is no risk, they promise to invest.
Horseshit. They are involved in a dove strike. And as soon as we cave, they will instantly hire. Then, they will claim that they only wanted what was fair. The lesson driven thru the rest of us is, business always does better when repubs are in power. To further bolster that point, anyone that talks smack about taxing the rich and corps is told that they will leave the country and we will all starve. And even if we did tax corps, they would just raise their prices.
Add to this that the repubs want to level the playing field, by hamstringing unions.
We are simply being threatened by corps and the rich. Treason is what it really is.
Particular care is given to ruin all those that might fund their opponents.
It is high time we tell all those unamerican traitors, that if they don't like democracy, get the hell out. We will find plenty of go getters to fill the void they leave. Tax the snot outta any cash they intend to permanently liberate from the country. Charge them handsomely for the access to our markets they took for granted.
If they are vital industries and they still threaten us, nationalize their function. Time for robber barons to be robber barrens. I see Iceland has already started.
Whatever happened to the passive liberal? Who cares, I am a street fightin' man. Sure I'll save you some.

"Uncertainty" is truly right-wing bullshit, but we don't need to start our own bullshit in response.
Businesses won't hire due to low demand. Demand is low because of high unemployment. All the tax breaks and other supply-side efforts in the world won't get a business to hire when it's only running at 80% capacity.
The problem needs a demand-side fix: a government jobs program. However, the Republican party is so far down the supply-side rabbit hole that they've forgotten one entire half of "Supply and Demand".
It's not greedy businesses refusing to hire. It's businesses not needing to hire.

But our population is still growing. Which is why the unemployment rate is still high despite about 1.3M-1.4M more jobs and why demand is still crappy.

7. Only if demand was going to return shortly |
|
However, there's no jobs program. So it's unlikely that there will be a surge in demand in the short-run.

9. You say it is businesses not needing to hire. But they need to hire overseas. |
|
We need to start imposing tariffs on imported goods. If they want to sell here let them build here.

10. Not only that, there are burnouts just waiting till their workload can be lessened for their sanity. |

Business thinks it can lean on us, in derogatory terms. As employees. They should have full control of you during hours, and mostly control your entire life as well. I see free time given will soon be de rigueur. No need to hire anyone, they will suck down benefits. If anything, lets just temp all hires. And pay peanuts.

13. And when tariffs are imposed on our exports? |
|
The problem with tariffs is that other countries don't like them, and so they retaliate.
A better solution would be to levy a tax on US firms that offshore jobs.

If there's a solution that causes the same effect (more expensive to offshore) then why use the one that has the potential to cause trade issues instead of the one that doesn't?

12. Obama fully understands that the Repubs and thus business intend to hold their cash till he is gone. |
|
To then claim that allowing liberals power is never a good idea. And makes people suffer.
