I saw in the news that high school students who were turned in by another student (for them having a gun in school of all things) then threatened that other student online saying they'd kill the student, got off from any kind of real charges for it. Nice... I'm sure that threatened student feels great about that the other high school students aren't being held to any more punishment than that.
