Texas Tornado

Some really good footage of the storms that blew through yesterday.

Still not sure what a rain-wrapped tornado is.

1. Thanks, amazing. A rain wrapped tornado means it looks like a downpour but guess
what's in the middle of that rainstorm you can't see? A tornado. Don't drive into heavy rain when there are tornado warnings because there can be one you can't see inside there. Which leads to a mess.

3. A rain wrapped tornado
Is a tornado that is "wrapped" in rain and is, in almost all cases, very hard to see until it is on top of you. I'm sure you're familiar with what rain looks like from a distance away (gray-streaked verticle lines in the sky from cloud to earth). Some tornados are not rain-wrapped which means there is currently no rain in the cloud they are associated with, or that the tornado is in front of or behind the main rain band. In powerful mid-western storms (and occasionally elsewhere), tornados can also become hail-wrapped.
