When will we shut down the idea that the media is liberal?
How do morans like Rush go on telling people this, when they won't even cover the Wisconsin protests?

There was an event where Walker had 100 people, reported on that, however 1500 were protesting outside, no coverage.

Every sunday every morning show there is a round table of Republicans to tell us how they think.

Usually they don't even bother with a Democrat, just let the Republican tell us the Dem point of view.

Besides this is the obvious fact they supported Bush and propped up his lies before the wars, the bailout bs..everything.

And now this, the icing on the cake, pushing the idea that teachers make too much money while wall street bonuses off the backs of US taxpayers are well deserved.

I think they just lost the last .00001 of people that believe this BS.

These right wing liars are so disconnected from reality...does anyone really believe them anymore.

Has the media finally lost all credibility?

1. When we have as many megaphones as the right wingers do...
and that doesn't seem possible in any foreseeable future.

Now it is conventional wisdom.

6. Maybe when we stop allowing the right to define us, define the terms of the debate,
and finally to define the debate itself. This simple tactic works like a charm for the right and constantly puts Democrats on the defensive. All they have to do is to repeat something enough and then watch Democrats jump through their hoops trying to disprove it.

Until Democrats take command and control of the debate and its terms, this will not change.

8. Any cred the media actually had died
when they helped the Bush administration drum up support for the illegal invasion of Iraq. Their part in the outing of a covert CIA agent in that process made them criminal.

There is no liberal media, but there is a liberal population and they are using "new media" to communicate. It's not over yet.

10. When it is no longer a valuable lie for the right
only then will they let that lie finally die.

Until then, they will keep repeating it over and over again. In the mass media, no less.

It is the height of irony that talking heads from the right-wing are constantly given podiums in the mass media to announce and decry that the media has a left-wing bias, while left-wing talking heads are denied any chance to respond and rebut this absurd propaganda.

The mere fact that all these right-wingers are giving places from which to announce these lies should prove them wrong, along with the fact that left-wing people aren't out there anywhere being heard, given the chance to speak against them.

But truth doesn't matter, only who is heard and what message they can repeat over and over again. So the lie is out there, it gets told, and it gets repeated, and it gets believed.

And the fact that the left can't rebut it, because we aren't out there in the media in places where we can rebut it, gets overlooked and ignored. A message that isn't heard doesn't matter.

11. The right says the media is liberal and and left says it is conservative...
That tells me that neither side is hearing what they want to hear.

15. What really kicks me in the ass is that those morans can't even recognize
their own rhetoric when they hear it spewing out of the TV or radio. I mean, if that shit is obvious right-wing quackery to us, how is the morans can't see it's their own message?

19. We would have to shut up Rush and that isn't going to
happen. However, I believe Ann Coulter is the biggest offender in spreading this meme. I used to get emails from her about the liberal media all the time until I got fed up and fired her a big, nasty reply about it. I don't get emails from her or any righties for that matter anymore. The way to shut Rush up is not to listen to him.

20. This is where I am at odds with God....hello lightening bolt?!! How hard would that be?
Rush probably never goes outside for fear of this.

I figure it's all about free will and the dopes figuring out things for themselves, and who better than Rush to wake up the dopes when even their little bit of common sense if finally violated.(like for instance the current idea that teachers make too much money, apparently they forget that Republicans are also teachers, or might have known a teacher in their life duh)

21. I listen to Rush to find out the shit he's selling
Today he definitely had a paid caller, calling in with last weeks talking points though. Still saying there is 7.5 million damage(the flower beds!) etc. She kept pausing, to let him go off, then as if reading a script continued.

But this is what I learned...'Obama is leading the Wisconsin protests! They are getting violent and he should call them off.'

'Democrats ruined education with Head Start which is why 80% of school children are not proficient in math, reading or writing and they just want more money to make the problem worse.'

'Teachers are the rich elite, flying in chartered jets, living in mansions and living it up off of MY money!'

We really should know what these people are telling Americans but now it just makes me laugh because I highly doubt that even 10% of people believe his crap, and after this stuff about teachers only the true morans will follow him off the cliff.

22. the MSM is persistent and one of the side effects of Am-news-ia
(Amnewsia = the mental state induced by MS news coverage which seems to consistently forget what it reported yesterday while presenting most events out of context so that it can exaggerate or diminish, or even deny, their relevance) ... is that the old media can just spin and speculate in the way it covers events and never admit it was wrong or biased.

But it stays there. It is like a scoreboard that is always wrong and yet the game goes on....
