<snip>
Only one of the family's eight children, a three-year-old girl, managed to escape the burning farmhouse in the community of Loysville in the eastern US state.

She rushed to alert her mother, who was milking cows in the family's barn late on Tuesday night.

The father had earlier left on his milk truck delivery route and had not returned home because he apparently stopped to take a nap.

Pennsylvania state trooper Tom Pinkerton said the woman was unable to get inside the building to rescue the children.

"While mum's milking cows, her three-year-old daughter comes running into the barn and the three-year-old tells the mother that there's smoke inside the house," he told reporters.

3. Hard working Americans struggling to make a living lose their family
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 06:58 PM by howaboutme
while these scum mother fxxxxkg NYC bankers on Wall Street who screwed the USA while making millions and billions and contributing nothing of value except buying off our government and politicians, collude to make life more difficult for average Americans. Someday Americans will wake up and there will be hell to pay.

I only wish Americans had the gumption to get off their Lazy Boys and ass and make a major statement of outrage against those who have blatantly fucked the USA over.

I don't wish to make the deaths of these children political, but it is because the financial elite who own Obama and Congress have turned our nation into a caste system.

4. Imagine the father is catching a nap on his truck
the mother is milking cows at who knows what hour in the early morning.
How resources are allocated is always politics.

5. The father was probably a self employed milk hauler
who was catching a wink or two waiting to pick up his load of milk while the cows were milked, while his wife had to milk his own cows.

It cost him a family. Most city folk have no comprehension of how real Americans must toil. But NYC bankers understand how to efficiently scam others. They have no comprehension of hard work at low pay. Their idea of sacrifice is having to eat a $100 burger on E 86th. The best thing that could happen to the USA in terms of creating honest government for 300 million Americans is to strip NY and NYC of all political power and the right to vote. It should be their rightful punishment for destroying our economy.

Sorry I have a true HO for these bastards who have mortally harmed the USA but still have our President and Congress on a short leash. Seeing the sacrifice of this real and hard working American family as opposed to the continued handouts to the typical greedy scum that trashed us outrages me.

9. your post suggests that only rural folks are "real Americans"
You do realize that most Americans live in cities, right? And NYC, btw, is reliably liberal. Your stupid suggestion that we should deny 9 million plus people any rights is right out freeperville.

Your post is disgusting.

And I live in the sticks.

14. I'm speaking of the banksters
and frankly I don't give a shxt what happens to them. Send them to Yemen. Send them to Antartica. Send them to Russia. They serve no social advantageous purpose except to their own casino club.

They should have been banished from the USA for what they did to us. Instead they were rewarded while hard working Americans such as this family had to deal with less and it was probably that which cost these lives. Someday Americans are going to wake up to this scam where a few financial elites have undue influence and have corrupted the government.

7. I don't understand what you mean. What resources are you talking about
This is a tragedy. It's a shame to politicize it at this point.

8. Politics is always about decision making related to the allocation of
resources - that's policy. Clearly it's dependent on ideology (the principles underlying how resources) and the means by which some people or groups are able to control this process (special interests).

11. Who knows
Maybe they wouldn't have had to work so hard if there was fairplay.

For the record I agreed with the unfairness about hard work not the rights of New Yorkers

12. Yes, the fact that they resorted to using space heaters to stay warm...
...indicates that the home itself had inadequate heating. Only wish someone spotted the space heater.

15. Propane space heater at that. So dangerous.
I'm a rural farmer and this story makes my heart ache. Our old farmhouse is very drafty and we use space heaters as needed but never propane. They're so dangerous. Propane heaters and very small children just feels like a recipe for disaster  which it clearly was. This poor family will never recover.

We also only use them when we are in that room (I'll turn it on in the bathroom before I take a shower) and would never leave one on and then leave the house.
