Live feed on the Wisconsin fascist takeover
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 07:08 PM by Hannah Bell
there's like 8 guys at a table surrounded by media & some people in the background not sure who they are --

a big argument has just broken out...

Barca (D) "This is a violation of the open meetings law..."

in the background you can hear protestors shouting "Shame, shame!"

1. Barca keeps saying it's a violation of the open meetings law...
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 07:15 PM by Hannah Bell
need 24 hours notice...

some of the guys at the table just stood up, apparently in irritation/anger...to leave?

feed stopped...

there's now a picture of the house/senate chamber with a few people walking around, no sound...

looks like a different room than the 8 guys at a table + media...?

5. yeah, the picture is frozen for me now. i bet it's deluged.
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 07:20 PM by Hannah Bell
what i saw in the first couple of minutes....

a bunch of people entering a room making small talk...

"hi, how are you?"

you would have thought it was a cocktail party.

then the 8 or so guys around the conference table surrounded by media & more people in the background..

then somebody at the table, ok, we're here to consider this alternative bill to (whatever the name/number of the combined bill was...)

then there's some noise in the background and somebody (barca?) starts objecting...

then for sure, it's barca saying "this is an illegal meeting" & some of the folks at the table start harrumphing...

then at least two of the guys at the table stood up & the feed started cutting out...

right now i have a picture of the senate/house chamber with 4 people sitting at a rounded daises (sp?) whatever the fancy thing is at the head of the chamber, in front of the king chair or whatever that is where the head honcho sits.

this isn't the table where the 8 fascists were doing their thing...

6. ok, got it back now: it says wisconsin senate & they just took a quorum vote.
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 07:29 PM by Hannah Bell
19 present. quorum.

some asshole is reading something so fast you can't even understand what he's saying.

question before the senate is adoption of some report, requires a roll call vote, calling the roll.

conference report is ?

they just adopted something, not clear what, & adjourned.

wtf?

i don't even know if that was the same meeting or a differnet one.

ok now back to the table where the 8 guys were: "joint committee of conference"

roll call -- i can hear "shame" in the background

i think this might be a repeat of what i saw before? yep, it is...

yelling again, barca voicing objections again --

so this feed isn't live, cause i already saw this...

barca wants to make a motion, someone's telling him "no motions"

barca says violation of open meetings law

someone interrupting him "clerk call rule"

someone says "no no!"

barca "shutting people down, violating law"

everybody stands up from the table, apparently to leave

feed stops again

11. barca now doing news conference
Edited on Wed Mar-09-11 07:35 PM by Hannah Bell
i have the law here, you have to have good cause for less than 24 hours notice...

at some point they're going to be called into court to explain this abuse of power

they clearly violated wisconsin law

the gig is now up

the fraud on the people of wis

they now are going to pass a bill to take away peoples rights

they took out bonding (?) they took away other items

now they have primarily a non fiscal document that doesn't accomplish the aims of the budget repair bill

they said no explanation will be provided

i'm not sure what items were removed..

they don't tell us in advance, they don't follow the rules, they didn't give us notice

so we don't know what they're going to do

Q:: what are you going to do now

we''ll be contracting attorney general, every legal recourse, this will not stand

what transpired: they sat down, called the roll, i pointed out this violated law

news conference over

program is archived

looks now like they're running it in cycle with a jan 2011 special session, which i guess was what they cut to when the feed died.

8. Dang, shame someone didn't do a livestream/ustream mirror.
Leave the primary alone, use livestream/ustream to stream it.
