4. IIRC, he had been stating publicly all week that he would vote against the budget repair bill.

Said it went too far by eliminating collective bargaining. Whether he was voting his conscience or bowing to the will of his constituents as reflected in recent polls, I salute him. Either one would be an ethical thing to do.
