A story i must tell at a time like this
I have chills running up my spine right now.

My Grandmother, 92, on her death bed in 2005 in Shawnee, OK, gave me the following warning:

"Bush is another Hoover. It's happening again. Now you take real good care, and be ready."

Those were the last words she ever spoke to me. She quietly passed in he sleep 2 days later.

Thelma Lucille Saunders lived through the great depression and the dust bowl in central Oklahoma. She spoke of honest men just wanting a job, ANY job, resorting to crime to simply survive. She told me that all people had left was the power to vote. In November of 1932, it all changed. The people owned the government once again. She always spoke of FDR very highly and defended him throughout the years. With a little help from the Government (the WPA), they made it through the worst of times.

She was right. It's happening again.

This moment is ours. Now is the time to fight. Let's make these fucking bastards pay.

5. we can get Obama to do what we want.
I still believe he is a good man whose simply lost his way/focus. It's going to take some arm twisting from us to make him do the right thing.

all evidence certainly points to it. As i said it's up to us. One can only hope he comes around, but you won't see me holding my breath.

on edit:

He has accomplished some good things which directly affected the wife and i, in a good way. I have to wonder what would happen if he was surrounded by a majority of progressives in the house and senate.
