I've lost my faith in America.
I always believed in America. I always believed there was always a better day ahead of us. My dad came form nothing and built a good life for his family. He made sure I was educated. I was able to get a good job to provide for my family. Because of that, I thought the American Dream was real. No matter how dark things got, no matter how evil the temporary occupants of power, there was a better day ahead.

Now, the public sector workers of Ohio and Wisconsin are stripped of their right. Gabby Giffords struggles every day to return to a normal life while the Right was able to get off the hook for inspiring a madman to pull the trigger. Muslim=Americans are now the subject of House hearings just like the Japanese and Germans during the two World Wars. A New York Times reporter has thus far gotten away with almost placing the blame on an 11-year old girl for being gang raped. No, our best days are not ahead. It's all downhill form here. I'm going to start reading up on the Roman Empire because that's where we are headed.

2. No, Roman empire is on the decline.
Have hope, although I never thought about concepts of faith in a nation, but do understand the need for borders and many nations for many groups moving together.

Notice in this clip, the Soldiers are jumping over Hadrian's Wall.

3. Keep the faith in America. The Republican Party is showing
a frightening side. It is the Republican Party, not
America.

meaning people who care - are non-apathetic, not content to be willfully ignorant and are willing to lay their comfort on the line to fight for what's right. I lost my faith in America in 2000. I regained it a little in late 2007, but that was crushed.

9. One correction: "the NRA was able to get off the hook for inspiring a madman to pull the trigger"
I fully blame the NRA and all of their apologists.

11. It feels to me like the whole country is going insane.
I feel very uneasy and anxious. I feel like we are inching towards some precipice and I don't know what will happen when we go over it.

The rethugs are splitting the U.S. down the middle. They are trying to tear the government down and they hate their fellow citizens. What kind of a country is that?

13. Share what you read...
Every empire that's reached its peak has fallen...Egyptians, Greeks, Romans, British, French, German, Russian, you name it. Maybe it is our turn and it seems inevitable judging by history.

And those don't even include the religious empires that overran many countries...
