3 fires in the City of Rochester (NY) within 90 minutes tonight... |
|
I just caught a tease for the 11:00 news with the Captain of the RFD saying that because of cuts to budgets and union bargaining concessions in addition to what they plan to cut in the upcoming state budget, that it leaves them DANGEROUSLY unprepared to serve the community...
Two suburban volunteer departments were called in on mutual aid to assist the city fire department.

3. Yep...private fire departments! |

Want your home protected against fire? Pay up to have fire-protection coverage, just like you have auto insurance. Can't pay the premiums to bring the firefighters to your house? It's your own fault for being unwilling/unable to pay. After all, it's survival of the fittest -- only those who are successful enough deserve protection!
