The Capitol rotunda is now flooded with protesters.

Sen. Mark Miller’s, the Democratic Senate minority leader.

As he held Mrs. Miller’s hand, he told the cheering crowd that he was never more proud of his city.

Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz speaks to protestors who took over the State Capitol after the Republican controlled Senate, without Democrats present, abruptly voted to eliminate almost all collective bargaining for most public workers, in Madison, Wisconsin, March 9, 2011. Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, whose bid to reduce public employee union bargaining power has triggered public protests that have been ongoing now for over three weeks long.
