How Come The Threat Of A Recall Didn't Cause Any Of The Repug Senators....... |
|
to back off? What do they know about the recall process that let them go full speed ahead to support this travesty and screw the people of Wisconsin?

|
if this ends up being the exception to that rule, then fine, but more often then not, people squak very loudly about recalls and then the whole thing peters out over the following weeks and months.
I'm not encouraged by the fact that we have to wait 10 months to recall the governor. That leaves a lot of time for people to forget and get distracted by other things.

I'm afraid you're spot on.
The greater the delay the more the enthusiasm diminishes. It's just a fact of life -- even for the good folk -- in the United States of Amnesia.

How Soon Would They Be Able To Recall Some Of The Repug Senators?....... |
|
Perhaps if the recall of Repug senators is successful that will provide the momentum to make it the 10 months and recall Walker.
Is there a recall initiative of some of the Wisconsin Repug house members? To this point I only heard of a recall of senators and Walker. Seems to me that the anger in Wisconsin now is such that this recall initiative could provide for a complete takeover by Dems of the Senate, House and Governor.

9 of them have been in their positions for over a year....the recall effort is in effect as we speak. They have people lined up around the corner in red districts to get the forms....

|
This bill impacts collective barganing from a lot of Wisconsin folks they are going to get their wages slashed, budget for schools cut etc....no I don't think they will forget why they will be struggling to make ends meet.

I guess the others want to go down in flames, including several who were 'wavering' and have had long careers. They'd rather go down with this shithead of a governor.
So. Be. It.

6. It's still too early and I don't think they feel the reality of it yet. |
|
They will. I signed the recall petition yesterday for my state senator, Kapanke, and he is one of the 18 who voted in favor of the bill tonight.

16. I believe this analysis is correct. |
|
They had to have this cram-through vote now, before signatures reached fifty percent or more this coming weekend.
Once recall was certain for some of these senators, they would have had defectors.
But it sure looks like now the Wisconsin senate is likely to change hands BEFORE the next general election.

Koch brothers. I'll never forget the threat one elected official sstated on an interview. "I have 2 million dollars. I can either get yu elected or assure your deeat. Which do you choose?"

11. on the contrary, I think they know their time is short |
|
so they are intent on doing as much damage as fast as they can. As are all the teabagger elected officials in general. They have to know they could and will get voted out next cycle, and so are intent on leaving a wide path of destruction.
