Police now asking for voluntary compliance to leave the capitol building.
If people don't leave, police will "reevaluate".

5. I noticed there are suddenly a flood of right wing comments...
... on the site, there. Looks like they are getting a little nervous that things aren't working out like they hoped. Many of them are openly hoping for riots and tear gassing people. Just absolutely sick people.

8. They don't want that crowd in there for the Assembly vote.
Not sure that there's any way they can avoid it though. The republicans will be lucky if they can get through the crowd to the building itself.

16. Unless they try to pull another fast one.
Would you put it by them?

In some circumstances I think they can even meet offsite. Wonder if they'll even tell assembly democrats.

18. There's a huge sit-in blocking their way
They're presently playing reruns on WI capitol livestream site The Uptake. Perhaps they'll show it again soon. The Senators tomorrow will have to step over people to get in the Assembly room where the vote is to occur. A cop standing nearby was asked what he thought of the sit in and he said it's the greatest example of Democracy in action. :D

4. former mayor now speaking.
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 01:11 AM by Hannah Bell
can't hear what he's saying, hoping the filmer will recap.

now leading a chant of "the people united"

...and in order for the people not to be defeated...(can't hear...)

what a crackup, camera focusing on someone sitting zazen in a leotard.

"let's all chill out. no one's telling anybody what they should do. we're simply saying..."

interrupted by chants of "this is what democracy looks like..."

feed frozen...

hall, some kind of police checkpoint - actually, that's a piece of footage i've already seen, don't know what's up with that.

back to rotunda, someone speaking, can't hear..this may be earlier footage too, not sure what's going on.

9. They voluntarily left once before
And Walker and his Republican stooges immediately broke faith with them. Fool us once, shame on you. Now the powers that be want the citizens to vacate the Capitol again. History says the Republicans can't be trusted.
