the bolder they get. Democrats should have ensured that Bushco's tax cuts for the rich 'sunsetted' -they have emboldened these ReTHUG tyrants. The rich aren't merely treading on the middle class and working class - they are fucking us up every which way.

12. Please don't cal the Republicans "irrational". |
|
They are acting extremely rationally to achieve their end goal: absolute power.
That may or may not be a rational goal, but if you accept it as their goal, everything they do makes perfect sense and is completely rational *IN THAT CONTEXT*.

13. Oh, I agree... they are behaving exactly as they need to achieve their goals. |
|
But those goals aren't rational and no one needs to pretend they are...by compromising with them.

5. What are our options at this point? |
|
They control the media, they control the elections. Rational centrists and the left-of-centers have been marginalized as radical "socialists". The masses, asses that they truly are, buy this crap lock, stock, and barrel.
I'm afraid we're heading into rough waters in this country. The current alignment is unsustainable without becoming more obviously fascist. The dam will break eventually - it will happen when an enlightened generation finally comes along. Perhaps they are the 5 year olds of today, we can only hope we live to see it.

7. This is the part I don't get about out alleged "leader". |
|
*EVERY* parent with any brains at all learns this lesson fast, yet Obama and the rest of the Democratic leadership doesn't seem to have any idea that this principle exists. So they acquiesce and acquiesce and somehow expect that the Republicans will give them some sort of credit for being so polite and compliant.
Instead, the Republicans do exactly what any two-year-old child would do: walk all over the Democrats again and again.
We are led by fools!

10. If we had NOT bailed out the banks, given criminals tax cuts, |
|
if we had not kept funneling money to the banksters through the Fed, the corporate aristocracy would NOT have had the money to destroy us now. The bushes and Obama administrations, using our tax dollars, insured the wealth of the upper class, then the upper class turned on us using the money we provided.
This is all out war and Obama is either with us or against us. His pretending this is not happening, just like the corporate media is pretending, is not going to work.
