Come on, let's just admit it, we're broke
We barely have enough billions of dollars for the wars, for the department of defense, for the tax cuts for the wealthy, and for the corporate subsidies to be helping heating costs for the poor.

4. We wouldn't be in this mess if it weren't for the USSC
If the Supreme Court hadn't given corporations the same rights as individuals, if banking regulations weren't stripped away, if the Bush tax cuts were allowed to expire. Whomever wrote tax code that allows the 400 wealthiest people in the US to pay less taxes than you or I. If Global trade weren't encouraged, which ships our jobs overseas so those 400 richest people can get richer by paying workers less. Oh and if the Dem party had a backbone and finally stood up and said, "This isn't about politics, it's about the working people. If we don't cross the aisle once to support the working classes, then we won't. If we have to leave the state/DC, then we will." But since the majority of the people who represent us in the government are millionaires that benefit from most of the above, we can pretty much forget about getting any real support.

I think a National movement from the people needs to take place. I think we should demand campaign finance reform, I think we should demand laws that limit the election cycle (kinda like the UK -- 6 weeks I think). I think any Tom, Dick, Harry or Sally should be able to afford to run to represent their states, the people of those states and our nation. Because these career politicians are killing our nation.

5. The billionaires aren't broke. They're Americans, right?
Or, are they 'really' Americans. Billionaires spend more time in other countries than here.
