The silence is deafening
and it makes me ill. I've scoured the net for statements from dems about what happened yesterday in Wisconsin. I can't find a thing.

1. They've probably been ordered to STFU
and of course the corporate media is ignoring the ones who dare say anything.

8. We are ripping the curtain away from the 'wizard' and are finding out
there is nothing there.

We are on our own and maybe , just maybe, we have to fight an enemy in the rear just as we face a frontal attack........maybe that's too harsh, maybe they are just cowards who have deserted.

Whatever it is, it's shameful.

9. Leadership void.
That's the problem with top-down, vs. a bottom-up approach. If no one at the top sends out a strong message, then everyone at the bottom is left wondering what to do.

Honestly, though, from what I've seen and heard from my Wisconsin friends, they are more than prepared and willing to fight for their rights with or without national support.

16. They don't know how to fight.
And Obama has sent the word out to STFU because he does not know how to fight back either. He only knows how to capitulate. I think we need to show the President how to fight back. I think we need to take the Wisconsin protest to DC. Because Obama thinks he can ignore these protests to death. If we had millions in DC, Obama could not ignore it.

18. Bush taught them ALL how to ignore protests
Wish we could have a national referendum and just say to ALL of the pols in both Parties:

"“You have sat too long for any good you have been doing. Depart, I say, and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!”

And replace them with average citizens after a 6 week campaign in which no money can be spent - free airwaves and public forums only to inform voters......I can dream

21. IMO Federal elected Democrats have all but abandoned the nation's workers.
There is no meaning to the Democratic Party any longer....They stand for nothing and pretty much fall for everything..We need a true People's/Worker's Party, something the Democrats were forty years ago..

29. Feingold: Wisconsinites will hold Republicans accountable
Last night will be remembered as a black mark on the history of Wisconsin government. The actions by 18 Republican state senators leave no doubt that Governor Walker's attack on Wisconsin workers has nothing to do with the budget and everything to do with advancing a national corporate agenda. Sadly, these actions further drive divisions within our state and threaten the future economic recovery of Wisconsin. Proponents of this plan should remember: Wisconsin's citizens will hold their elected officials accountable.
