Some credit has to go to Harry Reid also for breaking bottleneck in Congress. When he threatened |
|
to work through the holidays, a lot of bluffers blinked. That is especially after their attempts to paint him as anti Christian failed.

1. Yeah, that meme kinda fell on it's face with people who actually work for a living... |
|
and are expected back at work the Monday following Xmas.
With that deep tan, you gotta wonder how much time Boner spends in the office.

2. I give Harry a lot of credit. Neither he nor Obama will ever |
|
be the open fighters like most of us would love to see, but there sure is a place for the tactics those two use too. I only realized just how much they accomplished after listening to several of the hosts on MSNBC who listed all the accomplishments during the lame duck, and then went on to list of the last 2 years. The blustering bullies make headlines, buthat's abouall.

3. Hard to believe that's all it took to make the cons blink. |

We could've gone back to Kansas long ago.

4. I agree. Harry is a lot tougher than we were giving him credit for. |

5. You're right. And something else - I don't believe we give Reid |
|
nearly enough credit for being an absolute master at using the arcane rules of the Senate to throttle the Rethugs. It's all insider stuff, doesn't see the light of day and rarely ever gets any press, but he knows how to work the system. He was a big part of Obama's successes now.

7. The MSM blackout on all things (D) doesn't help. |
|
We don't know what Harry does, because it's rarely reported by the MSM. The hostility to the Democratic agenda is palpable, especially on the Sunday talking-head shows.

9. I agree. He has done much more behind the scenes than we know. He doesn't seem to be an attention |

10. Not without showing just how stupid and petty they really are. It's all about image with them. |
