Or some phrase that supposedly demonstrates conversations between immortal beings, and people. For me, there is no statement more dangerous, especially coming from an elected official.
This is the tactic of madness. It cannot be disputed because for those who believe, God makes no mistakes. All that is put into question is whether the receiver knows how to speak God as a second language. But basically, to my way, this is how cowards speak. And the term "dog whistle" is appropriate.
If I said "Aliens from another world have given me the answers", please, find me some good counseling. I have no health care, so it's going to be really expensive.

1. It's easy to blame God |
|
It lessens having to take resposibility for what a person does..."it was God's will"..."God showed me the way"..."God told me to destory the unbelievers"...etc., etc., etc.
It's the way of cowards.

2. I see your point, and agree with the sentiment of your post. |

Just wanted to state that many believers (such as myself) do not believe that God talks to us. When a politician, or anyone, tells me that "God told me to do this...yada yada yada..." it is an immediate turnoff for me.
God does not talk to me; therefore why would *I* believe that he talks to anyone? Should I think He loves those people more than me because He talks to them???
When we talk to God, it's called prayer. When God talks to "us", it's called schizophrenia.
