Cruelty is what the Republican Party is all about
Edited on Thu Mar-10-11 12:03 PM by Cyrano
Education? – screw it.

Health Care? – screw it.

Jobs? – screw it.

Veteran’s benefits? – screw it.

Affordable prescriptions? – screw it.

Safe food and water? – screw it.

Consumer protections? – screw it.

A safe infrastructure? – screw it.

Government accountability? – screw it.

Science and the well-being of the planet? – screw it.

A social safety net? – screw it.

The U.S. Constitution? – screw it.

I know I’ve left quite a few things out, but feel free to add to the list. Basically, those who seek to screw us on everything vital to our well being and survival can only be described as having an agenda based on cruelty -- and perhaps pure evil.

4. they do represent evil, even if unconsciously
The Republican party of TODAY represent the worst instincts of humanity at its most base. I call that evil and agree with you.

6. I don't think it's done unconsciously
I believe that they know exactly what they're doing...and how to manipulate the voters.

7. Yes, they do know what they're doing and how to manipulate voters
Their cleverness, combined with their cruelty, their greed, their indifference toward human suffering, and their drive to own everything there is to own, makes them our deadly enemies.

It's doubtful that any one of them will ever refer to us peasants as "their property." But make no mistake about it. Most of us are owned. But keep in mind that they also own Blackwater, (now Xe), and all the other bands of mercenaries that have been practicing their trade in the Middle East and Afghanistan for over a decade.

So here are my questions. How do we fight back? How do we reclaim our country?

8. " Münchausen by Proxy " as an understanding of the Republicans approach to caring for our country
It occured to me that the Republicans are doing politically what people who suffer from Münchausen by Proxy do.

1. A caregiver (republicans who find themselves in positions of power)

2. intentionally make their ward (Government) ill or appear ill (defunding while claiming lack of available funds)

3. when in actuallity there is no problem (solvent except for tax cuts or misallocation of funds to wasteful expenditures, think military spending or unwillingness to raise taxes)

4.so that they may reap the rewards of adulation (privatize whatever they can to achieve wealth, where "wealth" equals "worth")

10. Yep - they want to make sure no one gets anything
and are willing to give up some of their own rights to make sure it happens that way.

11. What I have never
understood about this kind of greed is you can't take money with you when you die, you can pass it on to your heirs but if you destroy the planet in your greed your heirs aren't going to have much use for money as they will be destroyed along with the planet.
