Senate Dems to return to Wisconsin on Saturday

Wisconsin Senate Democrats who fled to Illinois three weeks ago are coming back.
Sen. Jim Holperin said Thursday that he was on his way home to Conover and other Democrats were either on their way back or would be leaving soon.
He says there was no reason for them to stay away any longer since Senate Republicans passed the bill without them on Wednesday night.
He says he didn't think any of the other senators would return to the Capitol since the Senate wasn't scheduled to be in session again until April 5.

2. erpenbech has stated that they weren't coming back because
there could be a special session called and they could be forced to the capitol and the original bill could be brought up for a vote.

3. Sounds like a bad idea
First of all because they could bring up the original bill.
Second of all because as I have heard and understand it, the fiscal part of the bill seeks to sell off state-owned utilities without even seeking the highest bidder, and that sounds like a bad idea even if there were a bidding process.
Third of all because by staying away in continued protest, they would maintain the momentum of the people protesting in the capital.

But democrats aren't known lately for strategic thinking.
